Jupiter, Fla., Oct. 12 — Innovation Builder, a widely admired consulting firm for medium-and large-sized home builders, today announced the launch of a new Web resource for “lean building” techniques.

www.BuildBetterCheaperFasterNow.net brings thought leadership on building better, cheaper and faster to the homebuilding industry. The Web site includes tactics and technology that homebuilding operations managers can use to cut waste. Reducing waste through lean building invariably drives up builders’ margins, which for decades have stubbornly hovered in the low single digits, even as low-cost technology has become widely available to track and manage homebuilding operations at an extremely granular level.

Companies should avoid merely searching for improvements and instead focus on innovating new business. That’s where real competitive advantages are created. Most ideas will never make it through the full process but the alternative for companies is to go the way of the dinosaurs. Always think BIG!
